LEO sales info needed

hey guys i have a LEO wanting to buy mags , im pretty sure all i need is a copy of his police id or do i need a LE intent letter to ?

I am guessing he resides in a state that prohibits Hi-Capacity Magazines?

If so... I am not sure what the restrictions are state by state or what is required for sellers to ship to those states.

I see often enough where people refuse to ship magazines to states that prohibit them.

I would be interested in seeing the correct answer.

I know that when I sent my knife back to Benchmade to be sharpened I had to include a copy of my ID. This is because it is a switchblade and sales are restricted in that state.

A copy of my ID proved that they could ship it to me.

..a note to all:

-all Law Enforcement Peace Officers in the state of California are EXEMPT from the state's High-Capacity magazine ban (magazines over 10 rounds) . They must furnish proof of current valid LEO photo ID from their issuing Deparrtment. FFL dealers (with High-capacity magazine permit) in CA must retain a copy of the LEO ID of this magazine purchase for their records for the CA DOJ. Just a faxed or email photo copy of LEO ID to out of state sellers.

Civillians- may purchase and posses magazine parts to repair/rebuild preban high capacity magazine. It is illegal to assemble these magazine parts into a complete high-capacity magazine.
Most often many out of state sellers have shipped high-capacity magazine parts or complete rebuild magazine parts kits to civillians in California which is completley legal. It is up to the civillian buyer disgresion how these magazine parts will be used...buyers responsibility!
