This is a work-in-progress and probably long overdue. Thanks everyone :)

Q. What is the minimum barrel length for a Title-1 conversion using the fuse method?
A. When you fuse on the rear stub of a G36 to an SL8 receiver, the OAL gets shorter. In order to maintain a 26" min OAL, the barrel must be 16.5" min.
Q. I have been told that moving the gas-block will ruin my barrel. Is that true?
A. No, not if you machine it correctly. The area for the gas block has an extremely close tolerance. If you over machine the area, you will loose gas pressure and the firearm will not cycle. We have done dozens of successful gas-block moves.
Q. Will I need to purchase a new piston and op-rod if I have my SL8 barrel converted to either a K or C barrel?
A. Depends. We can successfully convert your SL8 piston and op-rod to K spec. For C barrels, you will need to only purchase an op-rod; we can convert the piston.
Q. Can I purchase a completed conversion from direct Dakota Tactical?
A. Yes, however we will bill you ahead of time for the host SL8 and conversion parts. Labor for the conversion will be billed at time of completetion.
Q. I have an SL8 that has already had the magwell converted. Is this a problem and is there a discount since some of the work has already been completed?
A. Yes and no. We find that most previous magwell conversions require more work as most have had too much material removed. As such, we typically have to add material in order to produce a clean magwell conversion. As such we offer no discounts.
Q. Can I get a rear-stub or magwell only conversion?
A. Unfortunately no, not at this time.
Q. I work in law-enforcement and want to use this conversion as my duty gun. Are there any issues?
A. We do not recommend nor endorse the use of any SL8 to G36 conversion where the orginal receiver has been altered. These conversions, for the most part, are extremely durable however we have not done the type of testing required to determine if they are duty-capable.
