Picked up a used CA89 about two months ago from a Internet ad, I was really nervous about all the possible problems the gun might have but decided to take a chance. When the gun arrived I did some research here looks like all the parts are original to the gun, I took it apart and put a round in the bolt head seemed to hold it tight everything else looked good.

Took it out to the range on Friday loaded up one round in the mag and took a shot, the casing ejected yeah! Loaded up a 30 round mag shot it no problems. I ended up putting 160 rounds of cheap Walmart ammo through it had one failure to feed when the mag was resting on the shooting bench, mags seem too loose I only have three HK mags that I tried out.

I still have to try it out with hollow points and find some kind of sling for it, I had no idea how awkward these little fellas are to shoot but I am thrilled so far so good!

Hello folks. New to the forums here.

I just recently bought a new PTR-91 Special Edition CA GI. I've put 150 rounds of CBC, 20 rounds of Winchester super X .308 powerpoint and about 20 rounds of reload without any issues. Everything about the PTR is awesome so far except for one thing. My PTR won't fully chamber the first round if I was to load a full 10 round magazine. A buddy of mine said that it is most likely due to the fact that the magazine doesn't have a anti-tilt follower. I've searched on the web and can't find anyone with the same issue(unless I'm not looking hard enough). So, is it because I need to "break in" the rifle more or do I need to buy new magazines? Which leads to my next question; Where can I get anti-tilt magazines for the PTR-91?

Since I couldn't seem to find a B&T 10266 mount, I figured I'd take the chance on the $30 mount from Botach. Ordered Thursday, shipped Friday and it arrived yesterday. Mounted right up to my V53 without any issue, Other than the big white letters on the side (soon to be blacked out) I'm happy with it. To be honest, it actually matches the finish of the gun better than the B&T and Aimpoint versions. YMMV

I fired my Vector VKE-93 for the second time this past weekend. The first time was with the polymer MKE mags which kept falling out because they coudl nto seat properly.

This time, I had a few FTEs and one of my metal mags does not seat properly within the mag well, and comes out with a not-so-hard tug.

I am trying to figure out if I should send to back to Vector, go see Ken at TPM Outfitters here in town, or send it to ghilliebear to fix the kinks. I bought it within the last year so it is under warranty, but I want it fixed right, as it is a pain to ship it.

What do you guys think?

Hi guys -

Got a problem cetme....go figure. Picked this one up cause the fit and finish were nice and the price was right to give it go.

It held to a bottom end acceptable bolt gap for a hundred or so rounds (like .010") and then it started shrinking, last I checked like .007".

It kinda fell to the back of the gun safe for a while and I just took it out for a spin, which resulted in no end of trouble....mighta not cleaned it since I last shot it though, cause I had ftes, ftfires, and a failure to feed even. Ran better after a minimal wipe down of the bolt, bolt head, magwell, and front trunion while still assembled.

Anyhow, I maybe put 25rds thru it total over two short sessions a couple days apart. I happened to stop by my friend, the gunsmith's place a couple days later with it and we measured bolt gap with inch feelers: .0025", or ~.06mm. There was no smaller feeler. Time to do something.

At this point, I want to try rollers as I could use a couple other things from rtg anyways. Given that bolt gap...pretty close to zero, with noticeable marks on the bcg from the back side of the bolt, how big should I go? Talking to a gal at rtg, she says all the + sizes will fit a standard cetme bolt, but asked if the bolt face was ground down. I don't think so unless the angry monkeys did so themselves, which is possible I suppose.

Best intel I could find using googlefu was each + size equates to about .002"...that would mean +6 or +8. Does that sound about right or will that be way too much?

Put 200 rounds through the MP5 .22 yesterday with no feeding problems of any kind.
This HK authorized MP5 reproduction worked every time the trigger was pulled and operation was intuitive/just right. It is a dead-on copy of the big brother.
It's incredibly accurate. Punched out the center ring at 20 yards resting on a sandbag AND while shot from a standing position with the 25-round mag.
At 25 yards, the rifle was shooting VERY high (about 4 inches) and required an adjustment - or two - to the rear sight to improve accuracy.
At longer distances, I believe it will need a scope, especially for me due to the nature of my failing eyesight.
I'm quite pleased with this rifle, which is more than a plinker.
It's accuracy - and lack of recoil - during rapid fire moves it into the personal defense realm, especially with the ease of swapping 25-round magazines.
I was impressed by how it ate target centers and decided it was as formidable as the Baretta CX4 .45 caliber I was also shooting yesterday - based on accuracy and volume of fire.
Also fared very well against the S&W .22 AR clone I was testing yesterday. The fit and finish is excellent and true to HK quality.
Highly recommended.

I currently have a UMP that I built as a conversion from a USC. I saw that HDPS is currently selling receivers - I have sent several emails and he hasn't replied in regards to buying an 80% one. I enjoy projects and would rather source a non completed receiver than get another USC to be a donor. What are my options for an 80% or less UMP style receiver? Has anyone had luck building one on their own or even modifying an airsoft one somehow?

I was cleaning up my MKE94 when I noticed these bulges along the receiver.

It appears as though the rollers are being pushed outward at the end of the firing cycle.

Any idea what is causing this condition, how to fix it, and ideas on how to repair the receiver????

Sure hope these pic post up correctly.... they tell the whole story.

The first pic shows the inside of the receiver.

The second the outside.

These "dents" are on both the left and right sides of the receiver.
