Default 31 Posts to Sell a Holster

Hello All... I am new to this forum. I previously owned a P2000 and a P2000SK. I no longer own either, but I do have several holsters from the SK. I was going to sell them here, but I have to have 31 posts to do so. Although I understand the logic behind making someone post before selling on the forum, I think 31 is a bit excessive. I have been a member of ar15.com for more than four years and I haven't posted 31 times. I simply don't have that much to say. Some people are posters, more power to them, I am not. Aside from the occasional question, I don't post.

Bottom line, as much as I would like to put my holsters up for sale, I can't because I will never get to 31 posts.

I am honest, and anyone who wishes to can check me out on ar15.com. Why make the post count so high?

I personally think it should be more than 31. Most new members who want to sell something quick decide to just dump that many posts in an hour with useless three word posts anyway.

You could always just buy a premium membership here and sell something. Stick around and enjoy the forum either way.

I must admit that I considered going the three word post route but I don't want to post a bunch of junk just to hit 31 posts. Although a convenient end around, it would just fill the forums with useless posts. But that in a nutshell is my point... if all you end up with are 31 "useless three word posts" why have the requirement? If you make it higher, you will wind up with more useless posts.

You are correct that I could buy a premium membership, but I no longer own either HK, so I don't really want a paid membership to this forum. No offense, just don't see myself spending a lot of time on an HK forum when I no longer own an HK.

I have a few nice holsters that I want to sell. A logical place to sell them is an HK forum. Said HK forum does not want me to sell my holsters until I have signed up, verified my email address, and jumped through 31 hoops.

"Said HK forum" is for the exchange of information first and foremost. The marketplace here is secondary. We like our heavily moderated forum and are proud of it. We hope you stick around.

Your main menu suggests otherwise. HKPRO Marketplace is the first thing listed.

And what of the fact that requiring 31 posts means you end up with "useless three word posts" as mentioned by AWD above?

Don't read me wrong, I'm not trying to start a war, just making observations.

Don't worry. Your 3-word posts won't last long. We all help watch this forum, too.
The best thing to do is buy the Pro membership for $29.95 or post them on GunBroker/eBay.

I, too, agree that the min required post should be more than 31. Perhaps 100.
    HK: Yeah, I've got that!

    Why stop at 100?

Aside from this issue, I can't think of much to post about. Don't own an HK anymore, don't feel passionate enough about them to start a topic, and I don't have the expertise needed to reply to people in need of help.
