    Default NFA thread rules

So I was reading the NFA rules regarding threads asking for advice about filling out forms and such. It seems clear in the rules that this is not tolerated...although I've been using the search function reading up on some questions I have, there seems to be a lot of discussion about it. Personally, I find it helpful as I'm working towards an SBR and suppressor.

My questions is this: I have questions regarding forms, process, and things of that nature. So, without going into the specifics, I'd like to know if it's ok to post some questions regarding these steps. There are no class III dealers close to me, I've made a couple phone calls to out of town dealers and can't get anyone to call me back. I've posted in my regional section hoping to get a response for some reputable dealers. (Oregon) I could use some help. If not...no problem.

    Thanks.

NFA questions about specific HK issues are fine in that section. The general NFA questions are not. "What do I put for the barrel length on an MP5K?" is fine. "Do I have to engrave my whole Trust name on the weapon?" is not.

Wondering what happened to your posts???

Does your state have a gun organization with a forum? MIGUNOWNERS.ORG for example in Michigan has a 'legal beagle' section for these types of questions (and an NFA section too).

Cool guys...thanks for the help. I may have a good contact in my area to help me out, as an FFL friend of mine gave me a number. Hopefully I can get all my questions answered.

    Thanks again!
