Default Need some help: SW5 stamped or cast? Is either superior to the other?

Is there any difference between the cast and stamped Special Weapons SW5 receivers (i.e. worth more, better/ reliable performance)? I am new to the clone market and want to make sure I choose the better of the two. Thanks!

Also, are the original metal housings better than their polymer lowers they moved to? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Cast are far superior to the stamped receivers. They are stronger and have better finishing than a stamped receiver. I own two of the cast versions (SW5K-PDW and a SW3) and both are rock solid. Fit and finish is great. The SW5K-PDW has over 17,000 rounds throught - only parts changed have been recoil and extrator spring from wear.

Wow, your guns are virtually new. :D Mine has logged almost 80 to 90k since I got it during the first run. Check your bolt gap for me, would'ja? I just had the Todd repress my barrel... I was running in perfect form with the sear... with NO bolt gap. Gap on my gun is now .017 and more importantly, still running good.

The cast receiver is 17-4 stainless steel. Probably the best receiver out there. Some one has the molds to it. It would be nice to see more available

I have a CENTURY HK91 clone that is built on a cast SS receiver, it is very robust. the only thing negative I will say is that a claw mount can't be fitted to it, receiver is too thick, but a B&T mount fits nicely on it

    Default could someone please......

maybe post a pic of the differences.

for an AR or AK, I get the difference, but I did not realize that this also applied to these types of cant picture of what you are talking about directly.

    would be much appreciated.

Sorry I have so much stuff installed on these guns. It makes it difficult to see some of the differences.

I do not think the A3 stock works on all cast receivers. I know it did not fit mine.

80k-90k rounds? Damn, mine should last forever cause I'm too cheap to ever shoot that much ammo in one gun. :D
