The rifle itself probably goes around 800-900. I agree with you on the goodies, if they are factory german stocks, and real aimpointmount and not a chinese knockoff.... then you can always dump the rifle and have little cash in the toys...
Ran into a guy with an early Special Weapons SW5c 9mm carbine for sale. It is in nice shape, but somewhat ugly with the cast receiver, and a strange looking charging handle tube. Comes with standard and telescoping stock (which doesn't work due to the cast receiver, but is included anyway), an Aimpoint Comp M2 on a stanag mount, a surepoint flashlight handguard, and three mags. He claims it runs like a clock, and has offered to let me take it to the range prior to buying it, but knowing the reputation SW has, and being somewhat leary of the cast receiver, I thought I'd hold off and see what you people think. Seller wants $1250, and I'm tempted just because of all the extras and goodies in the package.
It does NOT have a paddle mag release and is the original skinny 94 style barrel, but looks to be in decent shape.
Is that a fair price? Or should I pass?

I am one person who is a SW cast receiver FAN!
Shoot a sheet metal MP5 and a SW cast receiver MP5 side by side, especially in full auto, and I think you will be convienced, rock soild!
This is most likely true because the cast receiver adds a little weight and in a good place, right in the middle of the mass.
They look rough from the factory but with a little work, can look a lot better with a little sanding and determination.
As a side note, the receiver rails can be machined out so that the A3 stock closes, that is the way mine is.
I would think the gun you are looking at is worth close to $1200 with out all the added goodies. Heck the scope is worth at least $300 by itself.

if it is an early cast, which is sounds like it might be, it was built with a lot of factory hk parts. To be honest, those guns can clean up real nice...im sure retro will be around to show off another picture of his comfy leather chair and a cast unit...i like em
