    pics posted in the hk forum on glocktalk. not what the thread is about (user was asking when the g36 patent would expire) but a user posted his purchase of a norinco full auto mp5 clone in the phillipines. user said the cost was around US$1,991.30.

    Very Interesting...

    Does Norinco have HK Tooling, or is this the product of a Reverse Engineering effort?

    Is it me or are the trunion/cocking tube spot welds missing?

    Looks like reverse engineering... the stamping looks like nothing I've seen thus far. Defintely not HK or MKE. Not SW and for sure not LSC. Dunno who else had ever made flats, bumy guess is reverse-engineering. Interesting.

    Yep.

    I'd like to see pics of the bolt to be sure it is roller-locked. With the exception of the missing spot welds, I think it looks pretty clean, but I do not have a train eye in these regards.

    Definitely not HK tooling, there appears to be only an impression of claw mount tabs, rather than any actual tabs.

    There's an exclusive HK distributor in the Philipines. I wonder if a contract was worked out with Norinco for manufacturing, or if these are unlicensed.
