One Step Closer....

My SW receiver arrived today. See below. The furniture goes on fine and the mag seats properly (a little tight). Im sure Ghillie can help true up the mag well. The rails are squared nicely. These parts will become a Ghillie 53 at the build weekend at the end of this month.

Thanks to Ghillie for helping me build it later this month, LSC Manufacturing for supplying a nice parts kit and our forum member, brn2xl, for selling me his 93 receiver.

look good bro . be sure to demill and clean clean clean the kit.. it will make a nice one..

You got lucky... you got a receiver that doesn't have the large hole where the typical pistol caliber trunion weld goes. I've got a an SW-93 receiver here with 3/8" hole on each side that I'm going to have to TIG up and file smooth so the welds are done correctly. Not to mention the rear sight base is about 1mm too far back. Gonna have to cut it off and weld a new one one there. UGH!

So far, all the ones that Joe in Florida sent me for marking are like that.... have fun with those bro cause they're gonna be comming your way once I get them marked!

I agree. From the looks of it, it's pretty clean one too. Should make for a good build.
