Default Think we will ever see an Umarex MP7 in 22?

first off I wasn't sure if this was a long gun, pistol or clone post but since Umarex Isn't HK I went with clone. But we have official licensed 22 cal 416s and MP5s What do you guys think the odds of a 22 MP7 is? From what I read when they got the rights to the other 2 guns they got the rights to the MP7 also but I haven't heard anything about it since. Do you guys think the MP7 will ever come out? I would like to see one in 22mag or 17HMR also. Personally I can't think of a 22 cal I would rather have then an MP7

well I didn't know they made an original 22 cal thompson and full auto wasn't on my mind at the time of the post SOOOO Ill retract that and say I can think of a few 22s I'd rather have lol. But as for a semi in pistol or carbine that mimics a another weapon I can't think of a 22 Id rather have. Now that 22 cal minigun they were trying to, I would take that even if it were only a semi and I had to push a button/pull a trigger/turn a crank, to fire a round. That think was just plain sick. But its not a pistol or carbine.

I think the MP7 would sell better than the MP5 .22 clones. I have a hard time keeping a GSG or Umarex .22 MP5 clone in my collection simply because they feel a little cheap (except the GSG5pk which feels pretty stout) and i'd rather shoot my 9mm clones. The allure of a MP7 .22 clone would come strictly from not being able to buy one anywhere else, and i'll take a .22 MP7 over nothing.................... That would make a killer .22 PDW suppressed platform.

I'm thinking that an MP7 (in 22... ) would do well. For starters, no one makes a real caliber MP7 clone and if they did, it would be spendy to keep it fed. It's just different enough to stand on its own as an original gun. A major factor would be that it has NO available bigger caliber cousins. To me now, getting a dedicated 22 cal clone of an MP5 or M-16/HK416 (whatever) screams that you can't afford the real deal. I know, I know... some guys add them into the collections anyhow, but that just wouldn't be me.

Of course it doesn't have any way to add a happy switch so that kinda makes it a bit less desirable to me... but the design is just unique enough that I MIGHT forego the absence of full auto and get one as an oddity.

I'd buy the first one I came across. I'll buy the 22 MP5 also.

    I would buy a .22 MP7 in a heartbeat!
But only because I cannot buy one in 4.6X30mm or my all time favorite, the .40 S&W!
