    Default AT94A2 versus AT94P

I'm itching to join the HK game, albeit with a clone. I don't ever plan on a sear so I'm looking at the MKE clones. Not really looking at an SBR right now. Possibly in the future but not very likely to happen soon. I like the AT94A2 but don't like the 10 round mag and the one piece butt stock. If I go with the AT94P could I add a stock later? Does it accept HK parts? I've read I would have to add the US parts (922r). Sorry for the NEWB questions but I didn't find what I was looking for using the search.

Yes, the AT94P with the fullsize barrel will accept all H&K parts except for any full auto bolt carrier. Just add a stock and 6 US made parts. The best way to do this is get a PTR complete trigger pack (4 parts) and add either a US made stock and forearm.

If you want to stay with a S/F grip, the PTR grip housing w/ trigger pack setup counts as 5 parts and then get a US made forearm and all it a day.

Go with the 16" pistol version add 6 US parts cocking handle, forearm, stock, hammer, sear, trigger and you have a nice HK 94 clone for about $1600-$1700. Go to page 2 on the link that I provided for nice pics of one with the compliance parts.

You can get the rifle and do the magwell mod, but you'll also have to do the parts replacement for 922R.

You can add a stock to the pistol with the long barrel and then just replace parts for 922R. It's got a 16" barrel and will take regular MP5 mags.

The K will also take a stock and regular mags but will need a form 1 filed and a stamp from the ATF.

They all take HK parts except for a FA carrier.

+1. Don't waste your money on the ten round rifle version. I would get the pistol version and SBR it.

    AT94 is fine as well.
My local smith quoted me $25 to mill out the bars... plus you will get novelty 10rds cut out mag!
BTW, does anyone know where they sell extra 10rds mags? I kinda like them...

Thanks usncorpsman1, thats pretty much exactly what I was needing. Now the only problem is trying to find one I suppose. Or any clone for less than $1500 for that matter.

You might try reading some threads here...

Yeah, we finally FINALLY received our 2nd shipment of these. Get 'em while you can, MKE upped our pricing on them like way off the map for 2011, we're going over there next week to do a sit down and try to pound some sense into them so we can get a couple thousand Ps and Ks into the country this year. They're owned by the Turkish Military so there's a heck of a lot of red tape to go through in dealing with them. The guns are great, the bureaucracy.....not so much.

If you're looking for one, have your local FFL dealer contact:

    AcuSport
    AmChar
    Bill Hick's
    Davidson's
    Ellett Bros
    Lipsey's
    Sports South

These are the distributors we've shipped these to.

Maybe the price will drop maybe it will go CRAZY high?
if you want one get them while you can.
