    First,
Whoever was looking for a Red Dot sight, why not the NcStar DMP5? It mounts directly to the gun, no rail is necessary. It needed a little filing to fit over an alignment lug, but no big deal.

    Second,
MFI. I also work in an industry heavliy involved in patents and see lots of "over seas" infrigenments. I can't blame the consumers though, because most of the time they have no way to know a patent was infringed on (or even issued for said product). If I was looking for a low mount rail, how would I know your rail is patented and one of the "competitors" infringes on one of your patents? I see these simple as another way to mount a "weaver rail" to a gun. Unless I did a patent search, I would not even think the method to mount is protected. Your only course of action is to go after the suppliers. You can try inform a few consumers that your IP was stolen, but you can't get the message out to all. I've been in your shoes, I understand your frustration, good luck to you.

Wow... those mounts look exactly like everyone else's mounts. As a matter of fact, it looks almost exactly like the one a buddy of mine made for me some 20 years ago.

Just how many ways can a picatinny rail be made?

I feel for ya, but just think of the guy that invented the bumper sticker. Imagine how he's gotta feel now that every Tom, Dick and Moe can just print his own.

Default scope mount for MP5 A5 .22 lr

I want to mount a HIGH rail that will allow me to use the iron sites as well as a scope on my MP5 A5 .22 lr. I have had trouble finding any that will work with this weapon. Any suggestions?

Hope I didn't miss this info somewhere, but this is a LONG thread.
Does anyone know how the barrel Outside Diameters between the Umarex (MP5 A5) and GSG MP5's compare? Are they close, exact, totally different?
I have found a very nice, much more authentic fake suppressor which is engraved with the Navy SEAL marks which I want to replace the factory Umarex one with.
The company that makes it says it is "made to fit the GSG models", but says nothing about whether it will fit the Umarex MP5 A5 and they haven't gotten back to me on my inquiry yet. I have seen where someone said that the Outside Diameter of the GSG is .42". I own the Umarex MP5 A5, but not the GSG and I know that some of you guys do own both.
    Thanks for any help.

Long time viewer. First time poster.

Thank you very much for the detailed pictures of the complete tare down.

I always wanted something MP5 like.... Been an HK Pistol owner for a long time, but figured this is the only way (in my lifetime) I'll be able to afford owning and shooting something MP5. :-)

    Thanks again!

How do you like this scope on it? I just picked one up and got it mounted. Hoping to take it out out soon.
