Default Addressing drum magazine fit in a PTR 91

The guys at Xs-products wanted me to share this with you, this is a video that shows you the fit differences between an HK91 and a PTR91 in the magazine well with an x-91 drum.

I have a 91 Spec drum and it fits my PTR perfectly. No binding at all. Easy in and easy out and locks up tight.

Obiefox, I think its not always the case, but it does happen so they wanted to make sure people were clear on the difference. As you can tell in the video both drums work in both guns, its just a little tight from one to the other.

agred, getting my x-91 and x-91M drums to fit my PTR receivers took a lot of file work, on the drums.

i do appreciate the video, it takes some effort to get the drums to lock into the mag catch, so now i know how to remedy that...

While slightly OT, anyone weighed a 91 / PTR with a full drum mag?

Maybe equipped with a scope, wide hand guard and bipod? It would be a tank!

    yeah, well, MAN UP!!

    jk

speaking from experience it is still lighter than a M249, M240 or M60D, and more pleasant to carry than a M16/M203.

nothing like having to choose between holding that tube all day or having it slam shut on your fingers...you either know what i am talking about, or not...

Obviously these things are for the C3 crowd. The only other place I can think of using them would be on the Russian hordes pouring through the Fulda Gap say 25 to 35 years ago. ;)

Think I will just stick with the 20 Round Mags.
