Default Range Report Vector V53K not good!!

Took my brand new 53K out today and had a FTE EVERY time. Ammo choice did not matter. I am thinking the best thing to may be to send it back to Vector. Any thoughts?

Well, FTIW I have the Vector Mp5-40 clone and it took 3 trips to the factory and most HK parts including complete HK bolt and mags to get it to fire 95-99%. In my case it was the spacing between the upper and the trigger pack.

I have a feeling the Locking piece is incorrect for the gun.

Also check the basics: Bolt gap, extractor spring, scrub the piss out of the chamber flutes, check recoil spring, semi shelf height/ejector clearance etc. Also make sure its good ammo as well.

I did all of that, except for checking the bolt gap before I went to the range. I am going to check the extractor today and clean it again and try one more time with high quality 5.56 nato spec ammo. My other Vector eats everything and that's kind of what I expected from this one. It is brand new and under warranty, what about just sending it back to Vector?

You'd have figured they'd at least test fired them before they sold them.

That's EXACTLY what I was thinking! They talk all about the 5 year warranty, why not use it right?!!

    "My other Vector eats everything"

My guess the Vector you mention above is an older one... The "New" Vector does not seem to have a very good record.

I would send it back for warranty work or replacement immediately.

Also, I think the rifle caliber K's can be a very finicky beast and I personally would only order one from Ghilli or someone who really knows how to make them run.

    Good luck

I think that is what I will do. I just completed a dis-assembly and cleaning and everything looks to be in order except that there are no dates or stamps of any kind on the bolt or carrier. My other Vector has German stamps and dates all over it. Also, it almost looked to me as if the parts were pretty well used too.... I will be calling Vector in the morning. The gun looks great but if it doesn't function it is nothing more than an expensive paperweight. How is Vector's warranty service? Turnaround time, willingness to repair etc?
