There's a company that purchased Hesse's flat stamping equipment and then updated them. many years ago so this could be them?
Ohio Rapid also made their own stamping equipment so another contender.
Gewehr works makes their plates also and has the stamps
If Gewehr then their good to go' as long as the metal is the same thickness and of the same quality then the receiver should be sound. Were the issue's going to raise it's head is whom welded them and how.
They could have at least attached the rear sight to look more correct or used a HK drum. Not a big fan of the generous dollops of weld at each corner. I am interested if they will weld the trunnion in the same way they did on the C93.
It's a American made CETME which is the predecessor to the H&K. This isn't a H&K Bolt Carrier System & Charging System they differ as does the trigger pack. That being said it's a great platform and can take some of the H&K parts while others will require modification.
You can bet these will be fun and you'll be amazed with the felt recoil system of the CETME....it just feels lighter.
H&K's trigger system is considered head shoulders above then the CETME trigger system and is easier to modify. Williams Trigger systems does a decent job on taming the trigger.
Just a Cetme with more American parts, good Euro parts are becoming harder to find. I hope they can clean up their act on these G3 type weapons just like they are doing with the new AK's they produce. I still would go with a PTR Rifle anyday over that.

I think that you could add the H&K rubber butt pad and that would help tame the recoil for those that are more sensitive to felt recoil. HK21 RUBBER BUTTPAD
With PTR F'ing up their latest rifles with that god awful newly designed cocking tube, The C308 is actually starting to look like a pretty good option.
Ha, a different cocking tube makes a Century rifle better? The C308's may be ok, but a PTR will always be worth a couple of bills more to me regardless of what cocking tube they use.
I would almost agree with you, but, PTR has made so many design changes in order to "simplify their manufacturing process", that the PTR rifle must now be gutted out of it's cast/mim/substandard internal parts in order to have a rifle with confidence.
Now, PTR has changed the charging tube, and that cant be easily swapped out. At the same time, Century is now offering a PTR barreled receiver combined with OEM CETME parts.
And it's $200 cheaper. So it's not a bad deal...
That looks more like a low-paid red panda....and as we all know, they are not well-versed in the art of welding!
