Default New optics for Dakotal Tactical worked MKE 94K

Joe did this gun for me several years ago. It is honestly nicer than a real SP89. It had a TRS 25 that worked great and co witnessed with the sights. While nice to co witness, it also forced you to really get your head low and the front sight hood was annoying. The shooting position of the head and neck made shooting this gun uncomfortable for me and others. My astigmatism also made my dot look like a star.

Enter the Trijicon RMR and ADM mount. The 7moa dot is crisp, fast and the height of the sight places the dot above the front sight while giving a heads up shooting position. You can still maintain a good cheek weld and the sight looks like it was made for this gun . With the QD mount, I don't feel the need for cowitnessing the sights, just pop the RMR off if it goes down.

So with the optic on, you're no longer able to use the iron sights, correct?

Looking to get a red dot on my clone... still debating if I want to co-witness or not. Maybe lower 1/3.

    That rmr looks great.

I am fooling around with options for an RS and a 33k. I thought this was a good read.

Correct.....you can no longer use the sights with the RMR. It is a non issue since the mount is a QD that comes off in seconds.
