Default Well my CA94FS Showed up today...

As of yet I have not been able to shoot it but it passes a functions test well and seems fairly well put together. The A3 Stock should be here thrusday and the 25 S.Koreans some time soon as well.

Now for the problem, I orderd the FS for the paddle mag release (not really needed as I am a lefty), the three lug barral, and the Ambi mag release (note the aforementioned Lefty part). Well it showed up with a single sided safty. So I have to call TAC Weapons in the AM and find out what happened but needless to say that leaves me less than impressed.

The big screw up however was UPS. I won't go into details but they commited three ATF violations and I am going to have to file a compaint just to keep my ass in the clear. I will be calling tommarow to talk to someone who has a different address for thier head and a$$ unlike the supervisor that was on duty tonight.

So as an aside I think I am in need of replacing a lower due to not caring for the rather cheap look of the factory one unless the (hopeing they send one) replacment looks really good. Any suggestions for someone who needs an ambi but would prefer a moulded style grip of an SEF over the plastic top to bottom Navy?

You could get one of the plastic 0-1-25 type housings. They're still one-piece molded plastic, but they have a contoured grip.

    Here's what they look like:

Picture courtesy of Hkparts.net. Unfortunately, they're not Ambi. Your only option for an ambi pack are the plastic ambi packs with the straight grips.

The only downside is that he is a lefty.

The contoured SEF housing is kind of uncomfortable and impractical if you are a lefty.

Aside from buy a HK ambi-pack (which rocks) you should get a SEF pack like this :

The only negative with the above housing is that you will still have to remove your hand from the grip to go from safe to fire. However, if you're not banging and clearing rooms I wouldnt worry about that.

If you get that pack from Adam Webber its like a 135 dollars and is a much cheaper option than a HK ambi pictogram pack.

Not to knock our normal vendors, but Numrich E-Parts caries the stripped Navy lower with finger groves for $69. They are new. Clipping and pinning is not that hard, you just need patience.

Thats true it may not be too difficult but people like Adam Webber do the job 10,000 times better than I could ever hope to do.

But getting that lower 69 dollars and getting Adam to Clip and Pin it for 45 dollars would be cheaper too.

I will be certain to post a range report as soon as I get a chance, I am however in Fairbanks Alaska so it is a bit cold to just pop down to the outdoor range for a full report right now. I am just hoping that Tactical weapons comes through on making right with the grip and selector issue.

As for needing the ambi selector I am a six year Army Infantry Veteran who served in Iraq and help do some training for the local guys here as well as a few of the police so in all actualty I do still do a bit of room clearing, though only at targets that stand still now, and so the Ambi is an issue for me.

    Z,

I feel the same way about my new one. I like it, but am not impressed with the "cheapness" of the housing. My single sided safety spins all the way around. It doesn't stop at fire or safe. That's mainly why I want to do the same thing. There'sone on GB right now that may be what you're looking for (not sure if it's HK or CA)

I want to do a paddle release upgrade and get a better housing, but being such a novice I hate to buy anything without knowing for sure first.

Ya that is simila to what I want but it is only single sided as well. This wouldn't be such a big deal if it was the Standard model I ordered but I ordered the FS so it was supposed to be Ambi. And mine spins all the way around as well if I am not careful to stop applying preasure after the click but again iam hoping CA will come through and fix thier error.
