    Default Problem with ca89 firing

I recently picked up my ca89 and fired about 200 rounds at the range. All shot fine
with no problem. Then after firing a round the casing would eject, strip a new round,
and chamber the new round. When I went to fire again it would not. There was not even a
click. This happened several times so I thought maybe it would need to be cleaned (I
cleaned it before taking it to the range). When cleaning the gun I had the lower in my
hand and pulled the trigger but the hammer would not fall. I thought that was odd but
this is my first 89 model I had so thought not too much of it. About a week later took
it to the range and same problem. Fire, eject, chamber a round but no consecutive shot.
I was able to get a few in a row and then same problem. Tried to make sure I was not
pulling on mag but made no difference. Tried various factory ammo but no difference.
After I loaded one round in mag, removed mag, and then pulled trigger there was no click.
I removed the lower and I had to press the hammer down ever so slightly and then I heard
it click and ready to go. I figure it is probably a spring or something but would
    appreciate any help. Thanks ronin721!

I have had the same issue. Its because the hammer is jumping off center where the spring connects to it.

You need to buy a strutted hammer with a 9mm hammer spring.
