*UPDATE*

so i got to shoot my brand new HK45c on Sunday. I only put 100 rounds through it, but what a pistol.

took it to an indoor range (not Bulls Eye... sorry iron knight) and started off at ten yards and eventually to 20 and 25...

now it has been over 5 years since ive been shooting so it took a minute to get back into the swing, but when i did i was on. my HK45c is very accurate. I couldnt believe how well i was shooting. that pistol is just amazing to shoot. I had an extremely good time at the range and cant wait to go back, but this time ill be sporting more mags and more ammo.

i shot 50 rounds of Magtech FMJs, 50 rounds of WWB JHPs, and 1 mag full of Magtech First Defense +Ps. absolutely 0 failures of any kind.

so in short I dont have any problems paying a G for a pistol that i love this much. considering that ill keep it forever its well worth the money to me.

They are not all that warm to HK. Most of the guy's there have some of everything.
I deal with Mike's Guns out on 94 in St. Charles. If he don't have it he will order it. Good prices too.
I also use CDNN. Got my HK45 from our good friends in TX.

my dad is an FFL out at Gateway Outfitters at 70 and Cave Springs, but unfortunately they are going out of business. actually that is why i decided to finally buy my HK. actually ordered it from Buds because my dads place wasnt ordering anything new. they should be lowering their prices on handguns here in the next week. the only HKs they had were a P2000sk and i believe a .40USPc... also has some S&WM&Ps.. some sigs... couple of XDs. oh and they had 5 or 6 AR's going for cost, but thats not my thing.

now i just gotta locate the best prices for 10rd mags for my hk45c

Top Gun is down 55 or Bull's Eye on Manchester. Those are the only indoor ranges I know of on the MO side. Belleville indoor range on the iL side. But the guy's from Belleville opened a gun shop on Dorsett east of 270. They will be opening a new range on St. Charles Rock rd.

Love my HK45C as well, very accurate, especially with lighter loads (185gr).

Best place to get mags is Gunbroker believe it or not, I've bought new HK45C 10 rounders for $49.99 + ~$7 shipping, just keep looking and they'll pop up regularly. HTH
