I too carry a USPc 40. I have carried many guns and some too small some too big (including a HK45c and P220 Elite). The USPc is the perfect combination of size/wieght/grip. The p2ksk is way to small for my hands but the USPc is perfect. Plus I prefer it over the P2k due to cocked and locked carry.

Does anyone have the empty weights of the USPc and P2000? I'm favoring the USPc 40 but if the P2000 is lighter it will factor into my decision.

    Welcome over to the darkside!

I carried a P239 before too, but I had to ditch mine cause it was a lemon.

I believe all of the weights are posted on the HKUSA website if I'm not mistaken...

    I carry a .40 P2000 V2 LEM in winter months, and a 9mm P2000SK V2 LEM during the summer months.

Some other H&K carry options for you could be:
    P30 - in 9mm or .40
    HK45c
    P7 of some sort
    USPc - in 9mm, .40, or .45

    Just my .02¢ :)

Glocks are like small block chevy's... Over abundant, and rarely impressive.

I also like the USPC cause I prefer SA/DA with a safety. You can get DA/SA in a P2000, but not with a safety (at least not from the factory). I think the majority of P2000s are LEM, which is also a good trigger system, just not my preference. You might want to wait until you can get your hands on a P30S in .40.
Yeah man, I tell ya what, man, them dang ol’ HKs, man, talkin' bout SUH-WEET, man, dang ol' point and click, baby, just, just, dang ol' awesome, man.

I agree that you should wait for the P30S.

I love the USP compact for carry and that has been my primary for the last couple of years but I picked up a c-grade P7 and have been carrying that lately, its slimmer and a little more comfortable.

    P2000
    Weight
    Without magazine 1.5 lb

    USPC
    Weight
    Without magazine 1.47 lb

    Taken from the HK-USA website.

I don't think that .03 lbs is going to make a difference...at least IMO

I have an XD40SC as a CCW and just picked up my .40 P30S today. It has a slightly longer barrel and with the Pierce extension on my XD it has basically the same length grip. Anyway, sitting in my Supertuck it feels almost identical to that of my XD.

I have a uspc I have carried on and off for 2 years, but lately all I carry is my new police trade in p7 and I love it!
