It doesn't look hardly used, personally. The only thing that looks "worn" to those who don't know any better is the red extractor. The extractor looks like my weak slide release on my P30L. I've seen far worse in terms of actual wear.
Ok, so I go to the range today with my USP Tactical 45, USP 45, USPC LEM 40 and my P7M13. I shot the M13 next to last and it drew some stares and I fielded a few questions. Then I pulled out my beast, the well used, 3.5 pound unmodified single action trigger, UTL wearin', hoster worn Tactical 45and I was surprised at the reaction I got from those around me. I heard ugly, needs to be refinished, my glock looks better than that, etc., etc., etc. So I explained to some of my fellow paper punchers that I am the original owner of ths gun, that I carried it for 10 years and that it had over 160,000 rounds through it and that it only jammed on me 4 times (I directed that remark to the guy who made the ugly comment and whose glock jammed more times than I could count). So, I would like your opinions. Take a look at the pics and give me your feedback.

I dont get the ding dongs thinking its ugly. That Tactical is beautiful! Remarkably little wear on the finish and frame for 160K rounds -
that rocks...wow!! =)
I have a AB date code USP .40sw with an orange extractor too...well...before it got hard chromed
Leave it to a glock shooter to call a HK Tactical .45 ugly ... oh brother
Beautiful! Keep shooting it and put those Glock kool-aid drinkers to shame! (I want a USP.45 Tac really bad!)
not worn, just getting broken in.
if I could find any .45 locally, I would be shooting mine a whole lot more.

I'm glad that I'm not the only one who thinks the gun still looks good. It's funny that 99% of the agencies in my county all issue glocks. I think my PD is the only one that lets you carry what you want, the Chief carries a SIG, I carry....duh, an HK and there is another patrolman who carries a SIG. And even after 10+ years and over a 100,000 rounds, I can say that my gun has only jammed 4 times. I was thinking about getting it refinished but decided against it since it seems the wear just gives it more character. Thanks for ya'all's input! HK ALL THE WAY!!!!

Can ya drop a little background on the USP? How many/what parts broke, how
may times the recoil spring was replaced...most used ammo type.
Im sure the other guys are curious too! =)
I have always believed that if a shooter shows up to the range with a gun with its finish worn, all that means is that he/she knows how to use it. The USP looks great to me, it has been pulled from the holster more than a few times. I'm guessin' he knows how to use it.
Looks well worn, well cared for. Unless it's a safe queen, it is supposed to show some wear.
