Not sure where the LEM trigger instruction thread went that is referred to in there, but it was quite helpful too.
For me, with the right side only safety lever, I had to file the detent plate just a little bit. With the control lever on the opposite side of the frame from the detent plate, there is a little less leverage, and it was pretty tight and didn't want to move extremely easily. With the slide off, if you work the lever, you can see the pin ride over a little ridge on the detent plate when flicking the safety off. That is the ridge I filed down and smoothed out. Do it very slowly, only taking away very little material at a time. The detent plates are cheap, last time I checked, but it's still something you don't want to mess up. With a good stone, and just the right amount of smoothing, you can get the safety lever moving like butter.
Found the LEM trigger instruction thread - You're only going to follow the instructions down to removing the slide plate/spring, then work your way back to putting it back together. No need to remove the hammer axle or hammer.
The frames are too different to use HK parts. Locking the slide back is done automatically on an empty magazine and use of the slide lock is seldom required. The slide is released by reaching over it and pulling to to rear and completely releasing it. Fumbling with the slide lock to release the slide is a poor technique.
