Slide lock

Hello Everone;

I have a HK P-30 da/sa pistol, and I also had problems with the slide release buy shooting both thumbs forward, I got out my dremel tool and removed about 3/8" of material from the remost part of the left slide release, reblued it and since then no further problems, it was easier for me to grind of some metal than relearn my grip after shooting both thumbs forward for 40 years, the worst you can do is ruin the lever, if so buy another one.

This is why I dread taking a pistol shooting course. I started out with 1911's and Browning High Powers. Transitioning to a USP9F was seamless. I do not ride the safety or touch the slide release. I know from others experiences that most instructors would frown on this. As i will never be a speed/IPSC shooter, I will continue to use my method. I am fair steel/practicla pistol shooter.

The best way to test your pistol is to have several buddies at the range take a few shots with it.
