P2000 Fiber Optic Front Sights!

I’m a P2000 owner with older eyes (I’m 53). The stock three dots sights are just not working for me as well, as when my gun was new (in ‘05). A while back I shot a friends STI with a red fiber optic front sight. I then proceeded to shoot with the accuracy which I was accustomed to before my eye sight started to degrade. I knew then I must have these sights on my P2000. This began a long search to find a fiber optic front sight for a P2000. To make a long story short, NO ONE MAKES A FIBER OPTIC FRONT SIGHT FOR AN H&K P2000. I was told this more than a couple of times. Still I persisted. An email to Dawson Precision, Inc. followed by a phone call produced the results I’d been looking for. The folks at Dawson are willing to fabricate a fiber optic front sight for my P2000. All I have to do is send my slide to them, so they can take measurements. The slide will be shipped out tomorrow (12/18). Cost is $39.00!

I posted a while back that Gemini customs would make them for the P2000 if enough people were interested...but there wasn't enough interest to warrant tooling up...so I have the only one ever made...:)

Yes, I spoke to Marc at Gemini Customs after I saw your sights (licking lips in anticipation). He said he was very busy at the time, but would be willing do run run of 100 or more and I could corner the market on Fiber Optics for the P2000! He's a really nice guy.

Yes, I couldn't agree more. I told them I would spread the word and I'm doing exactly that. Next time I go for range qualifications I'll show everyone my new Dawson Precision

Dawson offers a range of blade widths, heights and fiber optic rod diameter. For myself, utilizing the stock rear sight, I specified .125" blade width and .060" FO.
