    Default Price Check (HK4)

There's a local guy selling an HK4 for $175. It comes with three mags, but it only has a .22 barrel. I haven't seen it yet so I don't know what kind of shape it's in. Assuming it's not too beat up, is this a good deal? Is there anything I should look for when inspecting it?

Same here. In fact, that is the cheapest price I have heard of for any HK that fires lead objects of awesomeness!

Is it just the barrel and mags?

No, it's the whole gun. I'm checking it out tomorrow. There's no pic though, so for all I know it could be all beat to hell. I wish I knew more about the HK4 so I knew what to look for.

Even if it's all beat to hell cosmetically, I think you would find it a worthwhile investment simply for the internal parts, which are becoming more difficult to replace. I would buy it, strip it, and sell the parts to existant HK4 owners, or I would buy it, then buy an HK4 in better shape and fire it knowing that I had an entire inventory of replacement pieces...
