Match trigger Hybrid

I posted this in ARF but i should have done it here - where all the experts are.

I remember reading that there is a hybrid match trigger for use on a USP compact, but i can't remember what it parts it used. I am building a clone CT. Starting with an AA code USP Compact. It has MMC adjustable sights installed and has an HK o-ring threaded barrel.

I don't want a DAO hybrid as this is mainly for target shooting.

I already have a Match trigger kit, that I was going to install in another USP I have but never got around to swapping it out. I had another Match Trigger kit which I installed in USP 9SD and works beautifully. It is actually smoother then the Tactical 45 i have.

So in summery, which parts from the kit do I use in the compact for a match trigger Hybrid?

I'm not sure of the exact parts but there is some debate over the Match trigger in a compact. I know that the Match triger isn't available from the factory on any compacts including the CT. Here is where Bill Springfield discusses that fact that it doesn't work well in the USPc.:

Having said that, if my memory serves me I believe there was someone that did have one (BigChris maybe) so it may be possible. Either way it is an issue for you to consider during your build. Good luck.

I am wanting the Match trigger. I am not interested in the lem or doa. This will not be a carry gun but rather a range toy. Shooting bullseyes and maybe a case companion for my ump clone.

Ok...from my understanding the only part of the match trigger kit that doesn't work in the USPc is the trigger itself (and therefore the overtravel stop). All the other parts can be installed though.

As BigBore stated on the other board, if you want the Match trigger on the compact there's going to be an element of compromise that involves either trimming the bottom of the match trigger or installing the overtravel stop on the compact trigger. Either way it won't be exactly like a match trigger on a full size but will it be close enough for what you're wanting?

The USP match trigger does not work in the compact, its too large and the trigger bar hole is off a hair from the pivot pin hole for the correct geometry. The USPc has very little over travel from the factory, even drill/tap and installing the set screw will not allow enough travel of the trigger to allow the hammer to release in DA and/or SA modes. I had luck when I installed a set screw when a spur type hammer was also installed, but even then the set screw was in its minimum installed position.
Its really not worth the effort from what I experienced.

Is it not worth it to trim and install the match trigger or to install the over travel screw on the compact trigger or to install the rest of the match kit in the compact USP?
