Default Gray Guns HK Goodness... (56k take a hike... )

As most of you know, I'm now a die hard HK guy, having acquired what I believe to be the best combination of three HKs to cover all of my needs. HK P30/9 (Home Defense, night stand, zombie gun), P2000SK (EDC/CCW), and HK45C (HD and CCW during cooler months).

I'm also a fan of light LEM and Heinie Straight-8 sights. As part of getting my HKs setup, I wanted these sights and reduced reset work done. Over the past couple of months, all threes have made the journey to the secret Volcano Base of GGI, where Bruce's crew worked them over, led by John the HK guru (as I understand it).

So here they are. Reduced Reset Comprehensive Duty Packages for all three, which includes Nickel Teflon coating of all trigger parts for durability and lubrication. I've only fired the HK45C thus far, as I was unable to make it to the range today. It exceeded my expectations and I believe the other two will as well.

To Bruce, John, and Roy - thanks for the outstanding work and customer service. It was truly second to none!

    Cheers,

    Rhino

The P30 & SK took 3 weeks, the HK45C was longer since the Heinie sights were backordered for awhile. They quote 6 weeks but they (Bruce and the GGI crew) are active on SIG Forum so if you're a member over there they try to expedite your order if possible.

How do you like the Heinie sights on the HK45c? Which model # sights did you get?

    Thanks!

    The trifecta!

I like the trio...they mean business.

For me...my dream HK trio would be my currently owned 45c, coupled with the full size hk45...
Then add a dash of 9mm hkP30L for range and zombie.

For now...45c to handle all three uses (range, CCW, HD) until funds become available.

Pardon my ignorance, but after you get trigger work done, what happens after you change out the springs with the next maintenance schedule? Does that mess everything up? What is the lifespan of the changes that they make? Would HK still provide support afterwards if need be? If one of the parts breaks, do you pretty much have to replace all of them since they have been adjusted? I am really interested in sending my gun in for work, but I have no clue what kind of "magic" they are really doing to the system and I am somewhat timid about it.
    Thanks,

I have had the HK45C back for about a month and it's amazing - about 800 rounds through it post mod and it's super smooth and sighted in nicely. The short reset is great.

I was going to get the other two to the range before this work trip, but that didn't happen. I've a slew of mags loaded for when I get back because getting these two and my new SCAR 16 to the range is a top priority!

First, the MX schedules on the HKs are crazy long. Second, GGI uses HK springs (besides the Wolff hammer spring), so those are easy swaps. If a part broke however, I'd send it to GGI for repair instead of HK.
