Second strike capability has nothing to do with possibility to safely de-cock or not.
I agree that de-cocking LEM is against it's purpose, but original German Police requirements, that P2000 was made to meet (that is why this original config has not clear "Vx" identification it is "just P2000") stated that gun must allow "uncompressing" main spring for storage without use of trigger to dry fire. This requirements were obviously originally meant to prefer Walther P99AS over Glock, but HK designed P2000 and (as we use to tell in Poland) "entered between vodka and a snack.
Both my GPM P2000 and P2000SK were originally in this config.
