That's way too steep even when TGS is selling LEM V1's for 839$, unfortunately that shop also does not accept new guns from other FFL's
FL is a lot better with guns. They are a pretty free state in that regard. So if a shop doesn't have one, he shouldn't have a problem shipping one in. Also, consider you'd be looking at a big chunk of sales tax...

Now when taking up the slack you are taking up free slack that is about 1 pound until you get to that wall of 4.5/5.5 lbs (depending on your variant). So essentially aren't you dealing with two different trigger pulls anyway? Now obviously you aren't dealing with a stiff 10 lb pull first followed by a 4.5 SA trigger but you are still dealing with two different trigger weights in both systems right?

Also I've notice two different arguements of the LEM trigger. I heard some arguements that the LEM slack is supposed to be taken up while drawing/presenting and or getting your sight picture and other arguements that state the LEM slack should not be taken up until ready to fire on target. So what is it?
My thoughts are if I'm in a self-defense situation, I will pull the slack out on presentation. It's one less thing to worry about should I have to shoot

I just changed my V2 LEM P2ksk to the light TRS and, wow, what a difference! Whereas before I could really feel a very pronounced difference between the slack takeup and the sear release, now not so much. I think if you've got the light LEM, you better have lots of training (like Chuck) before you start taking up slack during presentation in a stressful situation. I know I wouldn't trust myself for quite a while.

really? I suppose in a life and death situation, I may not notice the difference in pull as much, but for now, it's definitely noticeable. It may be because my glock is a 3.5lb trigger... but in a situation that my gun gets pointed at somebody, I'd already be at the point that I'm willing to put a bullet in them, just hoping that I don't have to

The trigger is 2-stage. According to HK the slack can and should be taken out as soon as the pistol points toward the target. You end up with one (1) trigger as there's no "finger memory" of taking out the first stage. If you're releasing to reset you're pulling just the second stage every time. A difference in a pound is measurable but not detectable. The difference between 9+ pounds and 5 pounds is both.

DA/SA is a needless complication. DA/SA with a safety is even more of a complication.
