Default Super easy P-series slide release rattle fix

I recently bought two P2000SK's from members here (NWTS_Mike & Tarheel, great to deal with!) and noticed that one of them rattled when I was cleaning them up tonight. I did a quick search and read quite a few topics related to the subject. The answers I saw ranged from velcro to nail polish to aluminum tape. Being a hetero male, I wasn't going to put nail polish on my gun, and I didn't have any velcro, which seems waaaaaaay too thick, nor did I have a roll of aluminum tape lying around. I also didn't want to remove it because the frame looks wierd without it, and I figured I'd end up losing it anyway.

While all these were good ideas, I didn't feel like they would hold up to regular cleaning or any real abuse. I decided to grab a can of Duplicolor Spray-on Bedliner, since it's supposed to be solvent resistant once cured. I masked of a tiny strip, about 1/8" wide and about 1/2" long. Basically so small that it wouldn't be visible upon even the closest of inspection. After the masking was done, I sprayed the absolute lightest coat of bedliner I could and let it set. Now that it's cured and installed, there is no rattle, and function has not been altered in any way!

Only time will truly tell if this will be as permanent as can be expected, but I have high hopes.

this is probably the surest fix out there for this problem...
bed liner is very durable , i thought about trying some of it for resoling shoes since it dries with a textured finish...

O man I thought the nail Polish would work the best. It's o okay though that leaves more nail polish for my toe nails. I like to wear black because they pop with my open toed heels. ;)
