    Default MULTIPLE HKs?

I've noted that some of the best info and advice comes from some of the hardcore HK lovers owning multiple HKs and multiple variants, like P30/P30L; HK45/c etc etc not to mention LEM or SA/DA safety/no safety. What prompted you to buy multiple HKs? what do you own and why? Caliber choice? Etc. I'm worried it's contagious. I have a HK45 and just picked up a P30S V3 I agonized over the P30/P30L choice and had a chance to hold both in the same gunshop. They both felt great so I opted for 9mm and a shorter barrel for a little difference. Can't wait to hear what you all have to say!

First HK was a P7M8. I liked it so much, I picked up a used one. Then I found another one, and finally I found a nice collector (Chantilly era with no import marks - almost mint).
I then bought an HK45. I was amazed at how great this handgun shot. It was as accurate as most of my 1911s, and the SA trigger was great. I wanted a carry version, so I got an HK45c.
I later decided to pick up a used but great shape HK45, because two is one, and one is ...well, you know the story.

Let me back up a little. I bought the first HK45, because my local dealer didn't have a P30 in stock when I went to buy one. So when he got a P30 in stock, I bought it. Then I bought another, because two is one and one is ... well, you know the story.

Somewhere in between the first HK45 and the two P30s, I picked up an Elite in 9mm, nice, sweet shooter. One is enough of the Elite.

So, where do I go from here? I almost picked up a P30L, because 3 is 2 and 2 is ...

My first handgun was a VP70Z I bought in the early '80's. I got a good deal on it from a friend, didn't really know squat about it or handguns. It was solid, accurate, and held an amazing (for the time) 18 rounds. It wasn't till after I bought it that I learned about it's 3 round burst brother, the VP70M. I was really impressed by the engineering. Fast forward- I still am.

    Sir,

My mini arsenal is listed below. It is an addiction, that for me started with an introduction to the P7M8 and P9S by my father when I was a teenager and grew later with experience with the MP5 series in the Corps. Having been exposed now to the full line of their products and their competition, I can reaffirm an opinion I formulated years ago; that HK is the premier small arms company.
It appears that you are having the same challenges are the rest of us on this forum; with so many HKs to choose from, which do I choose next.

    I only have 3. HK45C, P30, P2000SK. All Light LEM.

Three guns to have two ready at all times (in case one goes down for maintenance, etc). P30 Primary HD, SK Primary Carry, HK45C can fill either role (and I like 45 ACP!)

Phew then I'm not "completely" nuts lol. I have two HK's (P30 .40 and HK45C light LEM) and besides a HK45 full size in the future I ALREADY want another 45C (as stated "2 is one...") and just got bitten by the USP bug. I would love to get a two tone USP 9 full size.

There are a lot of great firearm makers out there, but for me, HK is a step... Maybe a leap above them, with extensive product testing, quality, etc. I think I could have five 45C's and be just as excited as the first one (no I'm not getting 5 but you see my point lol.)

I'm a big 45ACP fan, the P30 in .40 I sometimes carry if I feel the need for a little more capacity and will be the next gun shipped to HK for light LEM.

Good thread SemperFi. If you're a Marine, I commend and thank you for your service.

I had an HK P7 awhile back and I sold it and now I think it's spirit is seeking revenge through my wallet. In less than two months I got the USPc .40, USPct .45, a P2000SK .40, a USC and two Mark 23s. Needless to say they are some of the finest guns I own and depend on for my daily carry. As far as why I have what I have, it boiled down to a particular gun doing a specific job ie: plain clothes job, as a backup or vehicle patrol, etc. And not to start the caliber pissing match but I just didn't dig 9mm and I can get .40 for about as cheap as 9mm commercially now and I load .45 for cheaper than that.

    HK USP CT .45

    HK USC .45 Gray
    HK P30 .40
    HK Mark 23 x2
