    Default P7M8 Some Years Better Than Others?

    I am looking to pick one up for a carry gun and was curious if some years production guns were better than others or if there were some years to avoid altogether.
    It seems like the design itself has remained largely unchanged over the years.
    I have seen quite a few of the police trade ins and they all seem in surprisingly good condition. Were they refurbed by H&K or some contractor or both?

    Any info on these amazing pistols would be appreciated.

    I don't have a P7, but one of my closest and oldest friends collects P7's exclusively. He would know, as would other people on the forum. I do know that the ones with the purple or plum colored slides were refinishes. Don't know more detail than that!

    Plum slide does not mean it was refinished.
    Everyone knows you should never go full retail !
