Pelican Case for HKs

I was just wondering, what model pelican cases do you guys use for your USP 45 and HK45 full sizes?

I just ordered a 1170 and it seems it may be too small for these two handguns, or may 'just fit'. I didnt want to cut the foam and find out it wont fit at all. do I have to get a bigger case? I want individual cases, not a multi-gun size.

The 1400 series works well for me for all medium and large frame pistols.

Pelican 1200 is pretty spacious... Great case

i was looking at the 1200 too. i think i'll return this 1170 as it seems an inch too small.

I got the Guncruizer 6 gun case, which is just a Pelican with precut inserts.

I cut two inserts out to leave room for 3 pistols, 12 mags, and extra gear (eyes, ears, ammo, holsters, etc). Pictured here with a HK P30, P2000SK, and S&W 640-1.



Not cheap or light, but it works for traveling. Might be bigger than what you are looking for, but oh well.

Man, I'm not sure. Check out the US Case website. I'm sure they can tell you what they use. US Case - Pelican Cases, Hardigg and Storm Cases, Plus Custom Case and Crate Work.

Can you tell me what kind of foam you are using?

Looks to be urethane. I work in a foam plant and we have made inserts for pelican gun cases for ourselves and our city's SWAT team.

i have a chinese ripoff for 1/5th the price! nice! its also got that purge valve thingie. seems sturdy enough for a year now. lookie:

the toolbox in the left is my reload kit, lee hand press, ram prime, scale, caliper and dippers all in a box.
