Just so new P7 owners don't get confused here:
Using a brush on the piston rings is bad. It should only be cleaned with chemicals and rags, no abrasives. The scraper and brush are for the cylinder only, not the piston.

Well turns out there's almost no chance I'll get this ******* gun before another week has elapsed. Apparently my FFL had an emergnecy and no one else in his shop can pick the gun up from the post office. Post office can't see to deliver after they open. And he's out until saturday when the PO is not open. this is like blowing my mind.... lol. I mean, i'm not mad at the FFL, emergencies come up. But you'd think the PO would adjust their route to deliver when a business is actually open. Esepecially one where they're likely to receive parcels that MUST be signed for. I was all set to go shoot this weekend, looks like that's out. Well at least for the P7, very frustrated.

    It's nothing, bro. Think positive.

I've been waiting on a pistol purchase permit since May 1st. For the last month it's been sitting completed and waiting to be signed, but some fat freakin' police sergeant is too lazy to sign it along with the other 27+ of us that are waiting. I've timed this ordeal by growing out a jihadi beard, which was trimmed and is now on its way to a 300/King Leonidas look.......all in the period of waiting for a purchase permit.

And you know what the sucky part is? My gun is sitting for me waiting at the shop. Since mid-May. And I got t-boned by a kid at an intersection the day I delivered the paperwork, then had an appendectomy, then took a CPR/AED course and signed up for a EMT course I start next week. All in the span of waiting for this permit that some fat **** is too lazy to sign.

Man, that puts several things in perspective. Like how happy I am to live somewhere that doesn't require a permit fora purchase! tbh I'm not too worried about it. I'm more concerned that the FFL holder himself is doing alright. Dissappointed, yea... angry? no...

Why do y'all even put up with waiting periods and permits and NFA item bans? Move to Texas, we'd be glad to have ya.

sigh, NFA item bans =( there is a handgun waiting period here but you can waive it with your CPL. I don't think I'd likely ever have enough money for FA weapons... but it'd be nice to be able to do SBR's.

Well unsolicited, my FFL ran to the post office and grabbed my gun. I picked it up tonight, here's some preliminary pics.
