    Default Matte Stainless USP 9mm

After quite a lengthy search, I found and purchased a full sized KG stainless USP 9mm. When I picked it up from my FFL this evening, I was surprised that the slide was not nearly as bright as my other stainless USPs. My initial reaction was that I had just purchased a USP with a cerakote finish. After a quick search of HKPro, I learned that HK made matte stainless USPs in 1996 and 1997.

Those that are familiar with all things USP, could you please give me your assurances/opinions that this USP 9mm does have the matte stainless finish?

KH "bright" stainless USP 40 added for reference.

(Apologies for the less than stellar pictures. I should be able to take a few with natural lighting this weekend.)

I would prefer the matte finish vs the shiny finish myself.
    Looks great!
Congratulations on the find and purchase.

It was a lucky find on Gunbroker.

Thanks for that suggestion, Tony. I called HK, and they verified that it is a factory stainless USP.

When I can find a little spare time, I'll post a picture that highlights the different stainless USP slides. I have a few stainless USPs ranging from KG to BF date codes.
