Please update us if this test ever happens. Sounds great. Do you feel that you will be acquiring a m&p45?

When you guys get the ground rules hammered out, like rate of fire, whether cooling periods are allowed, how about an update. And before and after pics of the pistols, and pics of any malfunctions.

And hopefully in a new thread. :D

Cool, this will be like that show Pinks on the Speed channel, but with guns!

I figure there is about a 25% chance that neither gun malfunctions. The M&P is a much less proven weapon, with history of fleas and weird problems. The guy who bought an M&P on Mike's advice reports to me that it malfunctioned miserably when he took it to the range today. I wouldn't have made the challenge if I didn't think I would be getting an M&P. My plan is, if I win, to sell the M&P and get a tactical barrel and have H&K clean and inspect it. If I lose I get to save a hell of a lot of money and close down this thread! :)
Boy, if you try and pee out a forrest fire all you are going to get is a burnt pecker.

As I have stated on another board this is horse puckey. The HK did not fail and this is a very good PR display, if I had my bet neither pistol would fail. I own multiple of both myself. It is a nice idea to draw to a thread though.

I just bought my first 45auto, the hk45c,
Then I read I might have wasted my money and could have got
The better pistol according to certain sites and reviews.
Even larry vickers said it's better for the money.
Please do 5000 rounds vs this m&p....
Well maybe 2000 is enough to test it
My friend your money was not wasted on the HK45c. Don't read too much into "certain sites and reviews," heck including this site. Obviously you liked the weapon enough to buy it, and you are probably farmiliar with HK's reliability. If not you soon will be.

    9999999,

Well, as long as there is no pressure! Seriously, I strongly suspect I will win. Even with all the rounds through it the HK45 is a tank. Plus, there is no guarantee Mike will take the bet. 2000 rounds of .45 is around $600 and the M&P is somewhere around that. I wouldn't take the bet if I was him for all sorts of reasons. Obviously, I hope to win, but if not, at least I will have made it interesting.

Let us know what happens, Greg. Sounds like a hoot! =) When are you guys going to hit the range? I fully expect you to report that you own an M&P.

On an unrelated note, I'm glad to see you're going to start shooting your P7 again. Can we expect a Greg Bell P7M8 thread? That's one I'd certainly enjoy reading.

I have already started it! It is over on the P7 cult. I guess I should add a link to my signature. My goal is 15,000 rounds in one year. That is about 300 rounds a week. I already run 200 rounds a week through my G17. So, I am going to channel that ammo to the P7 and just shoot my AArms .22 kit for Glock practice.

Bet that Ken H would enjoy supervising this.
