I have a USPc .40 S.S. I'm going to put meprolights on it,just wondering about colors.Should I go green-green,green-orange,or green-yellow.Just looking for some help on this matter I've been told that some people say green-green is harder to aim due to not as much contrast as say green-orange,any help would be well appreciated.Thank You!

They say that the orange is too dim...

If you want a contrasting color set, go for the yellow rear, green front. That's what I did and I like it a lot. The yellow is definitely dimmer than the green - but it's still very visible.

Here's my USPc (gun in the lower right hand corner... internet routers on the left ;) )

Very nice! Where did you have those done? By HK, or a local armorer, or yourself? I wonder if they have a set that will fit the HK45. Those are EXACTLY what I have been looking for in night sights.

    Thanks!

I literally pounded them in with a piece of sawed off chopstick as my 'punch'

I did end up having to adjust them a bit when I went out to the range... but now my pattern is nice and centered at 25 yards.

I'm saving up for some meprolights for my USPc and am looking for Green on Yellow/Orange.

My reasoning is that in the dark, YELLOW - GREEN - YELLOW means you're centered, whereas GREEN - GREEN - GREEN could mean your front sight is to the left or right of your rear sight. But then again, if your body/hands positioning is good, you'll probably be fine.

Just out of curiousity, how do meprolight night sights work? Do they need to be recharched ala the sights that come on the p30 and HK45 or do they stay light no matter what?

    Thanks
