    Default Just another HK P7M8 Story... with Pictures

    In 1991 I had a P7M8 that I purchased brand new for about $950 plus tax. It took me 3 months to get if off layaway - Then one day while playing Madden Football on SEGA Genesis my then girlfriend (now wife) called and said "I'm pregnant".

    I needed a bigger car and a bigger apartment... I had the setup too, downtown loft, brick, high ceilings, band practice in the livingroom -

    I sold my mustang 5.0, got a bigger apartment, and I sold my P7M8 so I could purchase a Saab 9000 Turbo... what a P.O.S. ! I sold the P7M8 to a fellow LEO for $600. You know that idiot guy that just barely makes it through the academy. He sold the P7M8 to the Pizza guy for $400.

    I offered to buy it back from the Pizza guy once I got financially stable, but of course he declined the offer.

    Fast forward to 2008... House in the suburbs, SUV, another son, dog, and the same girl... my son born in 1992 is now a freshman in high school 6' 2" 200 lbs or so and playing football. I have other HK's I just never thought I'd pay the 'higher' price to own a gun I already had in the past.

    Any way to make a long story shorter I finally got my P7M8 back !... not the same one, but I purchased this one from a fellow HKPRO forum guy Rex T (thanks again).

    So I posted a picture of my P7M8 and Mason. So far I've got 3 magazines for it... they're not $20 any more.

    Neither one are for sale! If I had to do it all over again... I would pawn it to do the right thing, this way I could get it back sooner.

    So all you guys out there thinking about selling your dream gun, ya better think twice.

    Thanks

    It looks like a keeper!! I had a similar story in that I had a SP89 I bought for $1100 with a laser and then ended up selling it for $950 in 93/94 (still have both reciepts!) so I could put more money down on a 94 trans am I ordered.I was buying a house at the time too.I do still have the Trans Am with under 30K miles!!!! Congrats.Rex

    I never lost money on an H&K trade. You guys must be doing something wrong?

    H&K USP45F SS: $850 ---> $850
    H&K P9S Target 9mm: $400 ---> $850 + P7M8 mag
    H&K P7K3 .22lr: $525 ---> $1700
    H&K SL8-1 fully customized: $2500 (after all the work) ---> $2500

    I should have hung on to the P9S Target for a better deal, but I didn't really have the $400 I spent on it to begin with! I bought and sold it within two weeks, just long enough to go shoot it.
