Default Ghost Ring vs XS Big Dot?

As I am aging my eyes are crapping out. The little tritium sights are just too small to see well indoors, outdoors a little easier.

I have an Ed Brown that I removed the tritium and put on XS Big Dots and boy what a difference. So I removed the tritium sights on my HK USPF 45 and installed the Big Dot sights and was not as happy as the sight sits a little low in the slide so a small portion of the rear "I" is burried in the slide (Ed Brown are low mount Novak cuts and sit on the slide not in) and is not as good to see. The Big Dot front is fine. These are tritium as well, at night they are fine.

Here is a link to the Big Dots.

I did contact the tec rep at Big Dot and he said the rear "I" has to sit low as it relates to the rear and raising the rear would cause the front to be raised up.

So I am thinking about a different sight for my HK USPC 45, Ghost Rings. Here is the link for what I am thinking about. Has anybody used these?

Anybody else have similar problems or have a suggestion on sights? I have tried the light gathering sights and they did not work for me.

Ghost rings are really quick for sight picture. Had a set on my Glock 21SF. The Big Dot always concerned me for distance shooting. Having that Big Dot in the front can cover too much at 25 yds.

    Default BIg Dot

At 25 yards the top of the big dot is not over the target, the top of the dot is the target. See the link, they have a video clip that is pretty good.

Out past 25 yards the Big Dot (on my Ed Brown, haven't had the oppertunity to try the HK outdoors) lets me hit steel target to 35, 45, 55, 65 and to 100 yards, free hand.
