Even the photos on the HK USA website show this wear line.

As far as the wear on the chamber. All pistols I ever owned had wear marks where there is metal on metal contact like that. It is totally normal. I am sure in time the brown will disappear and turn to silver. I can't answer for any other of those stains you are describing, try to post some picks of the other "stains"

I got some pics on my HK45 slide posted at HK-USA.COM forum-Customer Service-"HK45 FINISH DIMINISHING WITH PICS". I'm still waiting HK for an answer.
I know that the metal to metal surface wear is normal. I'm just concern that its brownish in color.
Just saw your post over at HK-USA and I have never seen that type of discoloration before. I would call up Travis or Jeff at HK and let them know of the issue. I really have no idea what it could be and have never seen that on any of my HK's.
The part under the serial logo on the barrel usually turns a bronzish color but have never seen that on the slide before.

I seen your pics, that looks like crap. Have you tried calling and talking to someone in HK?? I wouldn't wait for them to post a response, because who knows if and when that would be... Your pistol looks like the slide was not prepared properly before they put the finish on.
