    Default Upgrade my P7M8?

I got a used P7M8 here recently and wondered if there was anything I needed to do to it or if there was anything I could do to it to make it run better? I'm looking into getting some extra mags, anything else?

Just stay on top of normal cleanings and your P7M8 will out last you.

The P7 is a great handgun, and chances are yours will outlast you.

But as with any mechanical device, they do fail from time to time.

And the P7 has a lot of moving small parts, so it has a correspondingly higher probability of failure than other, less intricate, guns.

The most common parts that I've heard of failing are the firing pin bushing, drop safety (and spring) and the sear transfer lever/bar.

I've been shooting my M8 for years, and I've never ever had one single problem, not even a jam or failure of any kind. But if you do a search here or over on the cult of the P7 (ParkCitiesTactical.com), you will find some discussions about the weaker parts on a P7.

Good luck, and congrats on a fine pistol!

+3, they come from the factory in perfect running order.

    All you need is ammo.

Don't get me started on F'ing sear levers! Arggghhh! :D

The P7 is a great and accurate little gun, but finding parts for it if you need them is about as much fun as shooting yourself with one.

About the only real complaint I have - outside of parts scarcity - is the finish.

My slide went plum so I sent it off to Tripp for a Cobra chrome job.
What a beautiful job they did.
I also replaced the sights with Metroplite Night Sites.
