Default Thoughts on H&K P2000SK compared to a Glock sub compact

I have been a long time Glock 26 / 33 carrier for concealed carry.

In the past several months I bought 2 P2000SK's - one in 9mm and one in .357 Sig. Both the Glocks and H&K's are gerat guns.

When I compared them side by side...I was somewhat stunned to see how much taller the P2000SK is compared to the Glock series. It definately is a taller / bulkier gun.

With that being said...why do so many people rave about how small the P2000SK's are? Giving serious thought to going back to the Glock sub compact simply due to size.

    Love to hear others thoughts

I carry a G26 alot. I have also shot a G27 and a P2000sk .40. If I wanted a sub-compact .40 I would choose the P2000sk because it handled the recoil of the .40 much better then the G27. For 9mm you could go either way.

i had to decide between the two as well. i had already owned a glock 23 and liked the gun but had heard so many good things about hk. looking at the size difference the hk is only slightly larger than the glock. the glock holds 11+1 vs the hk 9+1 mag cap in 357sig which is no big deal for me as long as it is in the double digits.
i went to my local dealer and molested each one a couple of times. the hk fit better in my hand and since i had already had a glock i decided to go for a different gun. the hk hides great on me and i shoot it fine my only gripe is the cost of the weapon/mags and ammo.
i may sell my glock 23 for a glock 26, 27 or 33 in the future or if i can pick up a used one for cheap then i will keep both.

    Thumbs up P2sk

    I went with the P2sk because it's an H&K not a glock!

glocks arent bad guns. they are more like hondas - they are cheap and will run forever. designed simply to shoot.

where as hk is like mercedes - they are more luxurious and so the prices are higher, and will run forever. they are designed to shoot with elegance.

Yep, I'm always amazed at how that 0.3" makes it such a bigger gun in height. If I did it over again, I'd investigate the P99AS or M&Pc since they are smaller than the HK. If I was ever to stray from the HK brand it'd be Walther. If I was to stray FAR away..Steyr (just for the heck of it).

They rave about the size compared to a full size P2000, not compared to a G26.

    Standard capacity for a G27 is 9
    +1, for a G26, 10+1.
