    Default P30L holsters

My P30L, which I picked up from Jerry at Ordnance Outsellers, arrived at noon today. A quick trip to the range (very quick in this AZ heat), and a quick 100 rounds did nothing to prove my judgement wrong. She's a good shooter, and she'll be leaving tomorrow to GGI for their action service, trigger overtravel stop, and a set of Heinie sights. The factory DA trigger is a bit smoother than my P30 was (which I sold to make room in the wallet for the P30L).

One thing I was especially pleased with is that the P30L fits like a glove in my HK45 Comp-Tac holster. I suspect this will hold true for just about any holster made for the HK45. The parts that differ slightly are rearward where it doesn't hit the holster.

Congrats on your acquisition, I want to see some pics when you get the sights and a review on the trigger.:D

The P30L will be the third gun I've sent to GGI, following the HK45 and the P30. I am probably not the best person to give a technical review of the GGI action work, though. I don't measure pull weight or reset distance with precise tools. They definitely "feel" better when they come back, and I shoot them much better, esp. on the DA pull. My HK45 is a smooth as can be now, but it was the best of the three to begin with, too. The P30 had the most visible signs of their work inside, and they did remove all of the grit from that trigger, but it was never as good as the HK45. Subjectively, the P30L is, out of the box, almost as good as the HK45 was out of the box, so I am looking for GGI to make it similarly smooth as a final product.

I do like the Heinie sights; I've put them on the HK45 and the P30. They are taller, which helps me, and their picture makes for a quicker pick up. I use them primarily as "black" sights at the range.

    Default HKP30L Comp-Tac Holster

FYI Got the Comp Tac holster - (have several for my USP models) for the HK45 - fits like a glove; P30L does not fit well - YMMV

OK I bought the Blackhawk P30 holster and the L fits just fine. Extends a little below the bottom of the holster but its not an issue. It will be fine for now. Also Crossbreed holsters makes an IWB that fits the P30L. I have no personal experience with that brand but people seem to like them.

any open ended p30 holster will work fine.

Steelshooter - why in God's name did you buy 2 of each? Safe-queens? or Neo factor?

I don't own safe queens and I don't know what Neo-factor is. Why did I buy two? Because I wanted two.
