P30L vs USP Combat Competition

Let's assume for the moment that I will convert the P30L to LEM.

Which would you rather have, the USP or the P30L?

Mainly, I think I've read that the USP will have a much shorter trigger reset and also a better trigger in other ways. Combine that with 18 rounds vs 15.

However, I currently have a few P30 mags for my SK, so I hate to buy the even more expensive Combat Competition mags.

Anybody have a good head to head comparison based on experience?

I do, I own both the P30 and P30L my main shooting buddy's only HK is a USP Combat Competition.

The Combat Competition trigger is awesome, it is much better then the P30's. Yes the mag capacity is also great. If I were in the market for a USP that is the one I would buy (especially if it were available in .45).

The P30's feel much better in the hand, the P30 is smaller therefore easier to conceal.

The P30's biggest selling factor is its grip. IMHO, it's the most ergonomical pistol grip to come out in years/decades. The P30's weakness is its DA/SA trigger. I've not shot one in LEM though.

If HK could combine the grip of the P30 with the LEM trigger of the Combat Competition, that would be one awesome handgun.

The combat competition trigger would be an immediate upgrade for my P30's, it is a great trigger.

What are you doing with it? The Combat Comp. is really a purpose built gun, it's meant for competition and because of it's size not very well suited for concealed carry.

I really do hope HK comes out with the combat competition trigger for the P30L. The match trigger also.

It wouldn't be a carry item, strictly for the home and on trips. And obviously some range duty :).

I guess it would be possible with the combat to take off the jet funnel kit as well so I could shoot 15 round magazines as well? Or is this not the case?

If it's for the house and range either one would be great. I really like the Novaks on my Combat Comp. and I shot a pretty tight group with it yesterday. :)

Yes, the Jet Funnel comes off with one screw.

Are you sure about that? The Novaks are sweet! But I suppose for a house gun NS would be more practical.
