These guys are at all the shows in Houston and have pretty decent prices. I saw them last weekend and they told me they have around 50 or so Mark 23's at $1800. So if you can't find one anywhere else...try them!

Don't waste your money. Buy an HK 45 and be happy. All the performance at half the price. The MK 23 is one of the most impractical pistols I have ever seen.

Like others have posted here. Do look around. I buy a lot on Gunbroker and there are much better prices on there. Use the money you save to get a good can, preferably the one made for the gun, the Knight Armament.

Steelshooter, hmmmm....can't say I totally agree with that. I will agree that it certainly applies to some people - if not most but DEFINITELY not all. I have big hands and the Mk 23 is more comfortable in my hands. I come on target faster and reacquire quicker and with tighter groups. Granted, that's not the case for everyone but it is for me. That's like saying the Compact 45 is better than the Full 45. And, don't forget, the Mk 23 is match grade.

BTW, I own 2 HK USPF 45s (one reg and one stainless), HK USPF9, HK USPF 45 Tactical and HK MK 23. Again, FOR ME it's better.

The way I see it is that I may need to compensate for something by having this HUGE pistol to carry around!!!
