Default UMP on the way from HDPS .....

Got the e-mail today from Ed that my UMP conversion is done and on it's way...Trun around was 4 weeks. Ed accidentally charged me for a stock block that I already had
with the gun.....after e-mailing him to let him know, he corrected and refunded me in a couple hours. Complete professionalism. I will post pics when It arrives. Also, waiting on Chopstix Kid for the G36.....not sure if I'm more geeked about getting the conversions back or my wife and I having our first child any day....lol j/k.

Awesome. I am on his waiting list for mid-April. Can't wait for Ed to put the finishing touches on my UMP build. Just need the dye job, vents, and mag well finished to complete the build.

LOL, good luck with the kid. I got into HK right after we had our first kid because I wasn't allowed out of the house to work on the Jeep any more!!!

    Hey Badge14,

How was HDPS in communicating to you? I have not received a reply to my request to start the USC to UMP conversion, I finnaly went ahaed and ordered some parts just to get started and they have not even acknowledged the order I emailed them. I guess they are busy, but they are losing business byt not responding.

How long did it take to get on the list? Thanks

I've had work done by Ed in the past, and placed orders with him, but I think lately he hasn't been too concerned with getting new business... He probably has all he needs.

A couple months ago I sent in an email order for some parts, never received a reply until I faxed the order...

Then fast forward to a month ago... I wanted to order the receiver/stock block screw from Ed, and never received a reply from either e-mail or fax. I figured it wasn't worth his time to sell just a couple of screws, so I went ahead and bought it from him on gunbroker; Which worked because its on it's way to me now. I guess maybe that got his attention.

His lack of communication in no way reflects the quality of his work or parts, which is great. Just good luck getting ahold of him!

Are they shipping it directly to you or FFL? What address did you sent it to?

Ed shipped the gun to me. I have had good communication with Ed since I sent him the USC. Before that, and ordering parts ...good luck. I think he is just overwhelmed. I got the gun yesterday and he did a fantastic job! what a difference over the USC...there is just a cool factor involved on this build. Once you get on Ed's schedule he will ask that you e-mail him the week he wants you to send the gun. Ed will reply with the address to send the gun to..... you will not be disappointed in his work. I will post pics when I have some time.

Just got an email from HDPS and I'm on there waiting list, that's the good news. The bad news is it will be the first week of June until it's my turn. Man, that's a while. At least I have time to save some $$$ for the job.
