Question Successfully ordered SL8 parts from I-A-E.de?

    Hi,

Has anyone successfully ordered from I-A-E.de? I'm interested in their muzzle brake and folding stock.

    Thanks!

I bought a sling, 2 x 30 round G36 (modified SL8) mags and a few bits and pieces with no problem.

I think the guy there is called Jacob, good to deal with. I transferred the amount to their bank account and had the parts a week later. Should take about the same to where you are, not allowing for Customs of course.

You should also check out this site http://www.sl-8.de/

I bought 30 rounds mags from them as well as more recently a G36C rail. Lady is called Rene, very nice. Same story with advance payment (it's a German thing) but they will ship the moment they get the payment. No messing about - usually a good policy when people are ordering gun parts !

Should have pointed out - email either of them with an order if your German is shaky. They each have excellent English. They'll email you an invoice with payment details etc.

Try sending emails in German using Google Translator. Be persistant. When I ordered they wanted payment via wire transfer in Euros. It took a while but was successful

Just so you guys know...I contacted them a few months back and they told me they could not ship magazines to the US...they could ship small parts/accessories like rails along with other items.

I would email them first regardless as they speak English as well or better than most people in the US so there wont be a problem there. The reason I say about the mags is because I was going to order 3 or 4 G36 mags from them when they informed me of this policy.

Just figured I would give a heads up but if someone gets a different response let me know so I can order some mags as well. Most of the stuff you can order though and they will ship to the US so no worries there.

Some time back whne I was contemplating purchases of parts from Germany, I was worried of uknowingly breaking any US importation laws, especially when firearms parts and components were concerned. I tried researching on-line, but was still not sure about legal implications. Trying to say, be careful not to break any of the stupid regualtions, old and recent ones

I guess every country has a few crazy import laws. Best to stay on side of them of course. The Post Office are usually a good reference starting point and they might have a Customs expert working with them that can give you the heads up on the mags.

When I bought my mags the Germans also asked me whether it was okay to ship to Ireland. I told them it was okay based on Irish law, (as olong as I had a licence for the rifle - which is Restricted) and they shipped. There are also no Customs duties between EU States of course.

That said - my SL8 is probably one of only 6 in the country at present. I'd say in total there are only about 100-150 centrefire semi rifles here so as you can understand the hard part is actually getting a good rifle to put a magazine into !

Those G36 mags all come ready for the European \ Canadian Mag well set-up. No need to adjust them as they work perfectly straight out of the box. There is another company in Germany that sell adapted Steyr AUG 30 mags that are supposed to fit the SL8 but these don't fit anywhere near as good so stay clear.

Check out this incredible looking SL-8 from I-A-E.de noting the folding stock and B&T rail forend.

I've personally done business with www.sl-8.de and I'm very satisfied. Got exactly what I needed, shipped quickly and the items were exactly as described. However, I think "Rene" (one "E" at the end of the name) is a guy based on our email conversations, and Rene is a common man's name in Europe. The only issue with this company was that it was not set up for international credit card transactions, but there are other options (transfer, international M.O., etc.). I recommend this company based on my experience with Rene.
