I'm not familiar with nightforce, but ATN makes a decent tactical scope. Illuminated reticle, changeable cams for variable calibers for the bullet drop compensator, range finder, and a nice sight picture. Only problem I've had with them is that UPS likes to break them. Of two scopes I've ordered, both came broken and had to file claims to get new ones. Other than that they seem to hold zero pretty well. I haven't had much chance to really put the bullet drop compensator through the paces. The range I go to only goes out to 300 yards, but seems to keep it in the drop range. That will of course depend heavily on the loads and grain of the ammo you're using. Commercial stuff is probably not going to drop as much.

For the money, it's hard to beat the German military surplus HENSOLDT FERRO-Z24. They run about $375 w/ the mount. I bought mine from Dan's Ammo and it was new, still sealed in the plastic.

BDCs are easy to use, but only work for particular loads, mil dot can work with any load once you work out your tables. If you want to learn a new skill, get a mil dot reticle and take the time to learn to use it. Or you can also get a BDC for most any scope.

Nightforce scopes are very good, US Optics are very good. I have a Leupold 3.5-14x50 LR/T on my SR9T. It's a little less expensive than the others, and also a very good scope.

Or for the "authentic" look, go with one of the Hensoldt from Dan's Ammo. They're only 4x, but are a lot cheaper, and work well.

And BTW - nice shootin' there 57Strat. Especially that bottom left group.

Watch the size (length) as one can run into mounting issues with a larger scope.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention that. If you get a scope much over 12", you'll either have eye-relief problems, or the cocking tube will hit the scope bell.

+1 Although I do have a few Zeiss on Stanag mounts.

+1 on the Hensholdt scope. I've been very pleased with mine.

As for BDC, just fire your rifle at measured distances and see where the bullets splash. Adust the turret and mark with your choice of fingernail polish. Works for me, and the polish comes off easily if you should wish to change loads.
