Hi guys, my very first post here. I'm from Hawaii, island of Maui and I love my HK's. Have a couple at the moment but I have this 91 that has a port buffer on it. I'm considering removing it and having the receiver refinished but I like the original gtrey look. Who is the right guys for this ?
When I shoot 150 grn ammo, the casings gets caught up upon ejection. Not all the time but it does happen. The 180's gives me no trouble.
check tension on recoil rod spring. And take out extractor and clean behind it. Whats your bolt gap running? It will hold value better if you DONT re-finish. M.O.
Hi, thx for the info. Honestly, I have no clue how to do either. Is their any good videos or books to learn ? Should I have no problem with the casings getting caught in the port buffer ?
extract is to come free from chamber. Ejection is what throws the casing out. The little black extractor is on the bolt face and probably needs to be taken out and cleaned. These rifles actually work better with 150gr. than with 180gr. It also could be the ammo you are using. There are alot of things it could be, but without seeing it I cant help you. Good luck bro. That rifle should NOT be malfunctioning.
