Note the HK premium pricing. More expensive than either the Maglevel Pmag or Emag, although it's basically the same thing. Still, a lot cheaper than the factory G36 mags.
Mapul's 2010 catalog is out and they are making 20 and 30 round Pmags for the G36. According to the description, the mags will have the same Pmag anti-tilt follower and stainless spring.
MSRP for 30G Maglevel: $27.95
MSRP for 20G: $25.95
The catalog can only be downloaded for Magpul's website. http://magpul.com/catalogsignup.html
You will have to sign up, but well worth it.

The pricing is probably because they are expecting to move less g36 magazines rather than their other magazines that can be utilized with multiple weapon systems.
Should be a big hit in Europe though.
That's cool for compliance, hopefully they will make them in translucent polymer as the dimmensions will allow for more strength.

Doubt it. All their mags are in solid color. They provide a window in the maglevel models to verify round count, so there is no need to make the whole mag transparent in their eyes.
How exactly? US Department of State considers high capacity (more than 10rds) magazines as SME (Significant Military Equipment - along with collapsible butstocks, flash hiders and suppresors) that are completelly banned from commerciat export. Only MIL/LE agencies as End Users (per ITAR) can get DoS licence to purchase such items in US. I don't see any European MIL or LE lining up to get Magpul mags instead of HK ones. This product is purely for US market.
Of course some of them will go out in checked luggage of some people, but not enought to make it "big hit". E-Mags here are going close in price to HK HRM magazines for eg.

These mags are sweet. Basicly the bottom is a pmag and the top is a g36 mag. The cost I would guess would go into the complexity of mag as well as expected lighter sales.
To me it means 3 compliance parts for sl8 builds.

I love the 20 rd option. I can only load 1/3 of a 30 so loading 1/2 of a 20 should save me big time.
Quick someone buy a few and tell us how they work. It will be nice to
have a few more U.S. parts to choose from.
